“To be or not to be? No! To switch on or off, that is the question.”
The companion robot Actress-1 starts acting. It only takes her 0.7 seconds to summon up memories relevant to her lines! Her absurd story makes us laugh, but at the same time, terror creeps into our minds.
“You’re now neither a human being nor a robot.”
Do not miss your chance to see Actress-1: The Nation’s No.1 Robot Actor and its sequel Actress-2: A Robot Specializing in Villain Roles. Come and join the world of Actress on the stage of NTCK, where Actress-1 was first revealed to us.
Synopsis
Actress-1: The Nation’s No.1 Robot Actor
The acting robot Actress-1 made a debut in February 2029 at the NTCK’s annual audition. Actress-1 used to be a nursing robot—formally owned by Sung Sooyeon, one of the most celebrated actresses in Korea. However, as per the wishes of the robot’s current owner Sung Suzy, Actress-1 has not been restored to its original state.
Actress-2: A Robot Specializing in Villain Roles
Actress-2, a robot designed to perform special tasks in extreme environments, goes on the stage of the National Theater Company of Korea. Seventy years later, an archaeology intern named Sung Yeonsoo discovers “theater” while organizing some resources at the Natural History Museum. As the Apocalypse of the 21st century theater intersects with the Genesis of the 22nd century theater, the fate of the robot once again unfolds on stage.
