“If you keep lying, it will one day become the truth”
Two precarious high school girls standing in front of truth and lies formed by words.
“Who am I, and what do I want to become.” The eighteen year old girls are confused and disturbed. Seo-jin is entangled in an inflated rumor, and Jin-ju is falling into a sweet but dangerous lie. Then, there is that diary in the laptop that was coincidentally found. The rumors and the incident regarding the two girls crosses the dimensional boundaries of the present and past and chases after them. We invite those of you who are going through their adolescence but seem out of reach, and those who wish to reach and grab onto those years of the past once again. Come to the ‘House of Words’, which is made of lies and truth, words upon words.
Creative play production project collaborated with the Kennedy Center, US
Created into multi-dimensional stage that stimulates all your senses.
Nominated as one of the entries of the ‘New Visions New Voices’ program of the Kennedy Center which has produced theaters for young audiences worldwide, the <House of Words> comes to us after two long years. The distressing and hazy moments of one’s youth are captured as vague memories that make you want to dwell on them. This is dynamically portrayed through solid story-telling abilities of the playwright Park Choon-keun and the heartwarming perspective of Director Kim Hyun-woo. The sensible stage is crafted by the production crew of the big hit, <Ostrich Boys>, a theater for young audiences by the National Theater Company of Korea; the instrumental melody that follows the complex emotions of the girls; and the movements are choreographed by choreographer Kwon Lyon-eun, who had become newsworthy for winning an award in the ‘Dance Elargie’ Paris contest. Do not miss the theater that will heighten all of your senses.
