Synopsis
“What is my story? My story is not Kim's Convenience. My story is you.”
Korean immigrants Mr. Kim, his loyal wife, and his daughter Janet run a common convenience store in a Regent Park neighborhood. Although it has been decades since he immigrated to Canada, he is still a Korean in his heart. He is very patriarchal, a born patriot, hates Japan, and has a hard time trusting black people. One day, when he is thinking hard about his life, he is offered a generous sum of money to sell his convenience store before Walmart takes over. However, he has other ideas. As he tries to convince his daughter to take over the store, his unreliable son Jung, who has not spoken to him for a long time, comes into his mind.
