Come and enjoy the wave of laughter!
A hidden jewel of Shakespeare’s
Time to experience the delightful <The Comedy of Errors>
<The Comedy of Errors> - which will pleasantly conclude the commemoration of Shakespeare’s death 400 years ago - is coming soon. One of Shakespeare‘s early works, the piece is full of brilliant wit. Weapons of laughter, such as slapstick and word games have been mobilized in this short work of just 1,777 lines, which will make the audience burst out in laughter. Beyond that, the messy incident between the master and servant, who are twins that do not recognize each other, is not merely funny, it also attempts to rediscover humanity by pointing out the issue of one’s identity and trustworthiness, as determined by others. That doesn’t mean you should sit quietly in the audience, trying to study Shakespeare’s classic. All you need to do is enjoy the wave of laughter that surges not only on the stage but in the audience as well.
A Comedy that is real!
Delightful year-end with a boisterous crew
The crew that will show what real comedy is, gathered together. Directors Seo Chung-sik and Nam Geung-ho, who received favorable reviews of their work <A New Common Sense>, united once again, and the 18 seasonal members of the National Theatre Company that have been working together for the past year will deliver bigger laughter with their perfect ensemble and energy. The stage that travels through time from Shakespeare’s era to the current is filled with eye-grabbing dynamism. It includes a live band comprised of the actors in person, and even an intermission performance that allows no time for rest. The delightful year-end party prepared by the boisterous crew now begins!
Synopsis
“I have changed. Master, am I really who I am?”
Antipholus takes off to find his twin brother who was accidentally separated from him and takes his servant Dromio who was in the same situation. The two secretly arrive in Ephesus, where diplomatic relations have been severed. When guided by strangers to one woman’s house, the two believe that the strangers they meet on the street are possessed by an evil spirit when they pretended to be acquaintances, and try to escape from the place. But they run into the woman’s gang that was chasing them before making it on the boat and escaping to a nunnery.
