The story begins with the death of "Ross." Ross' friends (Blake, Kenny, and Sim) attend his funeral, only to experience profound grief and disappointment. At last, they decide to take their friend "Ross" to a little village called "Ross", steal the urn that contains his ashes from the funeral home, and run away. Setting out on a long journey of more than 400 km, the three friends believe that this is the last thing they can do for Ross.
